【摘要】:Inthecaseofmaterialsforresistorsandheatingelements,aknowledgeofresistivityisimportantindeterminingwhetherwireorstripofaspecifiedareaofcrosssectionandlengthwillhavearequiredresistance.Itservesasonebasisfortheselectionofmaterialsforspecificapplicationsanditsmeasurementisanecessaryacceptancetestforresistancematerials.Inthecaseofmaterialsforelectricalcontacts,themeasurementofresistivitycanserveasatestforuniformityofmaterialsofnominallythesamecompositionandstructure.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedetermination,toaprecisionof2%,oftheelectricalresistivityofmaterialsusedinresistors,heatingelements,andelectricalcontacts,aswellasproductsofpowdermetallurgyprocesseswhichareusedforotherpurposes.Note1-Fordeterminingtheresistivityofelectricalconductors,seeTestMethodB193.1.2Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.ItistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtobecomefamiliarwithallhazardsincludingthoseidentifiedintheappropriateMaterialSafetyDataSheet(MSDS)forthisproduct/materialasprovidedbythemanufacturer,toestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpractices,anddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
