【摘要】:Flexuralpropertiesdeterminedbythesetestmethodsareespeciallyusefulforresearchanddevelopment,qualitycontrol,acceptanceorrejectionunderspecifications,andspecialpurposes.Specimendepth,temperature,atmosphericconditions,andthedifferenceinrateofstrainingspecifiedinTestMethodsAandBarecapableofinfluencingflexuralpropertyresults.1.1Thesetestmethodsaresuitablefordeterminingtheflexuralpropertiesforanysolidorhollowmanufacturedplasticlumberproductofsquare,rectangular,round,orothergeometriccrosssectionthatshowsviscoelasticbehavior.Thetestspecimensarewholex201C;asmanufacturedx201D;pieceswithoutanyalteringormachiningofsurfacesbeyondcuttingtolength.Assuch,thisisatestmethodforevaluatingthepropertiesofplasticlumberasaproductandnotamaterialpropertytestmethod.Flexuralstrengthcannotbedeterminedforthoseproductsthatdonotbreakorthatdonotfailintheextremeouterfiber.1.2TestMethodA8212;designedprincipallyforproductsintheflatorx201C;plankx201D;position.1.3TestMethodB8212;designedprincipallyforthoseproductsintheedgewiseorx201C;joistx201D;position.1.4Plasticlumbercurrentlyisproducedusingseveraldifferentplasticmanufacturingprocesses.Theseprocessesutilizeanumberofdiverseplasticresinmaterialsystemsthatincludefillers,fiberreinforcements,andotherchemicaladditives.Thetestmethodsareapplicabletoplasticlumberproductswheretheplasticresinisthecontinuousphase,regardlessofitsmanufacturingprocess,typeorweightpercentageofplasticresinutilized,typeorweightpercentageoffillersutilized,typeorweightpercentageofreinforcementsutilized,andtypeorweightpercentageofotherchemicaladditives.1.4.1Alternativetoasingleresinmaterialsystem,diverseandmultiplecombinationsofbothvirginandrecycledthermoplasticmaterialsystemsarepermittedinthemanufactureofplasticlumberproducts.1.4.2Diversetypesandcombinationsofinorganicandorganicfillersystemsarepermittedinthemanufacturingofplasticlumberproducts.Inorganicfillersincludesuchmaterialsastalc,mica,silica,wollastonite,calciumcarbonate,andsoforth.Organicfillersincludelignocellulosicmaterialsmadeorderivedfromwood,woodflour,flaxshive,ricehulls,wheatstraw,andcombinationsthereof.1.4.3Fiberreinforcementsusedinplasticlumberincludemanufacturedmaterialssuchasfiberglass(choppedorcontinuous),carbon,aramidandotherpolymerics;orlignocellulosic-basedfiberssuchasflax,jute,kenaf,andhemp.1.4.4Awidevarietyofchemicaladditivesareaddedtoplasticlumberformulationstoservenumerousdifferentpurposes.Examplesincludecolorants,chemicalfoamingagents,ultravioletstabilizers,flameretardants,lubricants,anti-staticproducts,biocides,heatstabilizers,andcouplingagents1.5Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.ThevaluesgiveninparenthesesaremathematicalconversionstoSIunitsthatareprovidedforinformationonlyandarenotconsideredstandard.1.6Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorlimitationspr......

【摘要】:Caremustbeexercisedintheinterpretationofthesignificanceofcompressivestrengthdeterminationsbythistestmethodsincestrengthisnotafundamentalorintrinsicpropertyofconcretemadefromgivenmaterials.Valuesobtainedwilldependonthesizeandshapeofthespecimen,batching,mixingprocedures,themethodsofsampling,molding,andfabricationandtheage,temperature,andmoistureconditionsduringcuring.ThistestmethodisusedtodeterminecompressivestrengthofcylindricalspecimenspreparedandcuredinaccordancewithPracticesC31/C31M,C192/C192M,C617,andC1231/C1231MandTestMethodsC42/C42MandC873.Theresultsofthistestmethodareusedasabasisforqualitycontrolofconcreteproportioning,mixing,andplacingoperations;determinationofcompliancewithspecifications;controlforevaluatingeffectivenessofadmixtures;andsimilaruses.TheindividualwhotestsconcretecylindersforacceptancetestingshallmeettheconcretelaboratorytechnicianrequirementsofPracticeC1077,includinganexaminationrequiringperformancedemonstrationthatisevaluatedbyanindependentexaminer.Note18212;CertificationequivalenttotheminimumguidelinesforACIConcreteLaboratoryTechnician,LevelIorACIConcreteStrengthTestingTechnicianwillsatisfythisrequirement.1.1Thistestmethodcoversdeterminationofcompressivestrengthofcylindricalconcretespecimenssuchasmoldedcylindersanddrilledcores.Itislimitedtoconcretehavingadensityinexcessof800kg/m3[50lb/ft3].1.2ThevaluesstatedineitherSIunitsorinch-poundunitsaretoberegardedseparatelyasstandard.Theinch-poundunitsareshowninbrackets.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemmaynotbeexactequivalents;therefore,eachsystemshallbeusedindependentlyoftheother.Combiningvaluesfromthetwosystemsmayresultinnon-conformancewiththestandard.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.(WarningMeansshouldbeprovidedtocontainconcretefragmentsduringsuddenruptureofspecimens.Tendencyforsuddenruptureincreaseswithincreasingconcretestrengthanditismorelikelywhenthetestingmachineisrelativelyflexible.Thesafetyprecautionsgiveninthearerecommended.)1.4Thetextofthisstandardreferencesnoteswhichprovideexplanatorymaterial.Thesenotesshallnotbeconsideredasrequirementsofthestandard.
