【摘要】:Thisspecificationcoversrequirementsandmethodoftestingformaterials,dimensions,hydrostaticburststrength,chemicalresistance,adhesionstrengthandtensilestrengthpropertiesforcured-in-place(CIP)pipelinersinstalledintoexistingmetallicgaspipes,3/4to48in.nominalpipesize,forrenewalpurposes.Themaximumallowableoperatingpressure(MAOP)ofsuchrenewedgaspipeshallnotexceedapressureof300psig(2060kPa).Thecured-in-placepipelinerscoveredbythisspecificationareintendedforuseinpipelinestransportingnaturalgas,petroleumfuels(propane-airandpropane-butanevapormixtures),andmanufacturedandmixedgases,whereresistancetogaspermeation,groundmovement,internalcorrosion,leakingjoints,pinholes,andchemicalattackarerequired.Themediumpressure(upto100psig)cured-in-placepipeliners(SectionA)coveredbythisspecificationareintendedforuseinexistingstructurallysoundorpartiallydeterioratedmetallicgaspipeasdefinedin.Thehighpressure(over100psigupto300psig)cured-in-placepipeliners(SectionB)coveredbythisspecificationareintendedforuseonlyinexistingstructurallysoundsteelgaspipeasdefinedin.CIPlinersareinstalledwithlimitedexcavationusinganinversionmethod(airorwater)andareconsideredtobeatrenchlesspipelinerehabilitationtechnology.Theinvertedlinerisbondedtotheinsidewallofthehostpipeusingacompatibleadhesive(usuallyanadhesiveorpolyurethane)inordertopreventgasmigrationbetweenthehostpipewallandtheCIPlinerand,also,tokeepthelinerfromcollapsingunderitsownweight.Continuedgrowthofexternalcorrosion,ifundetectedandunmitigated,couldresultinlossofthehostpipestructuralintegritytosuchanextentthatthelinerbecomesthesolepressurebearingelementintherehabilitatedpipelinestructure.TheCIPlinerisnotintendedtobeastand-alonepipeandreliesonthestructuralstrengthofthehostpipe.Theoperatormustmaintainthestructuralintegrityofthehostpipesothatthelinerdoesnotbecomefreestanding.MPLCIPliners(SectionA)canbeinstalledinpartiallydeterioratedpipeasdefinedin.Evenforlowpressuregasdistributionsystems,whichtypicallyoperateatlessthan1psig,MPLCIPlinersarenotintendedforuseasastand-alonegascarrierpipebutrelyonthestructuralintegrityofthehostpipe.Therefore,thesafeuseofcured-in-placepipeliningtechnologyfortherehabilitationofexistingcastiron,steel,orothermetallicgaspipingsystems,operatingatpressuresupto100psig,iscontingentonatechnicalassessmentoftheprojectedoperatingconditionofthepipefortheexpected30to50yearlifeoftheCIPliner.Cured-in-placepipelinersareintendedtorepair/rehabilitatestructurallysoundpipelineshavingrelativelysmall,localizeddefectssuchaslocalizedcorrosion,weldsthatareweakerthanrequiredforservice,orloosejoints(castironpipe),whereleaksmightoccur.HPLCIPliners(SectionB)areintendedforuseonlyinexistingstructurallysoundsteelgaspipeasdefinedin.HPLCIPlinersarenotintendedforuseasastand-alonegascarrierpipebutrelyonthestructuralintegrityofthehostpipe.Therefore,thesafeuseofcured-in-placepipeliningtechnologyfortherehabilitationofexistingsteelgaspipingsystems,operatingatpressuresupto300psig,iscontingentonatechnicalassessmentoftheprojectedoperatingconditionofthepipefortheexpected30to50yearlifeoftheCIPliner.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatoryrequirementspriortouse.
