【摘要】:Acompositionalanalysisofcoalandcokeandtheirassociatedcombustionresiduesareoftenusefulinassessingtheirquality.Knowledgeoftheelementalcompositionoftheassociatedresiduesisalsousefulinpredictingtheelementalenrichment/depletioncompositionalbehaviorofashesandslagsincomparisontotheconcentrationlevelsintheparentcoal.Utilizationoftheashby-productsandhazardouspotentialmayalsodependonthechemicalcompositionandleachabilityoftheinorganicconstituentsofthecoalash.Thechemicalcompositionoflaboratory-preparedashmaynotexactlyrepresentthecompositionofmineralmatterincoalorthecompositionofflyashandslagresultingfromcommerical-scaleburningofthecoal.1.1Thistestmethodcoversaprocedurefortheanalysisofthecommonlydeterminedmajorandminorelementsincoal,coke,andsolidresiduesfromcombustionofcoalandcoke.Theseresiduesmaybelaboratoryash,bottomash,flyash,fluegasdesulfurizationsludge,andothercombustionprocessresidues.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
