【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationcoversthegeneralrequirementsofacell-typeovenwithcontrolledratesofventilationfordetermininglossinweightorchangesinpropertiesofmaterialsonheatingatelevatedtemperatures.Thesespecificationstakeintoaccountthefactthatchambergeometry,rateofventilation,andtemperatureeachaffecttherateoflossofvolatileconstituentsfromamaterial,ortherateofchangeinotherproperties.Thisovenisrecommendedwhenevertheresultsaredependentonthetimeandtemperatureofheating,theamountofventilation,orboth.Itisassumedthatspecificrequirementssuchasspecimenshapeanddimensions,rateofventilation,time,andtemperaturewillbeincludedintheapplicablematerialspecificationsortestmethods.Ovensmeetingthesespecificationshavebeenfoundusefulfordeterminationofplasticizerlossinplastics,andforcontrolledagingofelastomersandplastics.1.2Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.
